About Shaun Wilkerson
Our Craftsmanship
Born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana, Shaun Wilkerson worked as a trim carpenter for the local carpenters union in the late 70s. He opened his first business, Plantation Mantels in mid-city New Orleans in September 1988. Specializing in mantel designs based on southern plantations and 19th century New Orleans shotgun houses, he soon expanded his repertoire to include include beds, tables, & armoires, all featuring reclaimed cypress and distinct New Orleans styling. His connection and affection for his home city have truly manifested into his unique furniture creations.
